New Delhi, December 15: The much-anticipated film Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty, has finally revealed its release date. The film will hit theatres worldwide on April 18, 2025, as confirmed by the makers through a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. Along with the announcement, they shared a gripping poster and captioned it, “The Queen, at her best, will reign at the box office. #Ghaati GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 18th APRIL, 2025. In Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.”

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati promises to present Anushka Shetty in an entirely new and intense avatar. The makers had earlier dropped a striking first-look poster in November, showcasing the actress smoking a pipe, exuding an intense aura. The poster came with the tagline “Victim, criminal, legend,” and the caption wishing Anushka Shetty a happy birthday, along with a teaser video set to release shortly thereafter.

This film marks the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish, following their successful partnership in the 2010 film Vedam.

Apart from Ghaati, Anushka Shetty is also gearing up for her Malayalam debut with Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer. Directed by Rojin Thomas, the film will see Anushka in the role of Nila, a weaver. The makers of Kathanar had released an intriguing teaser in November, showcasing Anushka’s character as a weaver amidst visuals of a weaving machine. The teaser, which was launched on Anushka’s birthday, was met with excitement as it marked the actress’s grand entry into Malayalam cinema.

Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer also stars Jayasurya Jayan in the lead role, along with Prabhu Deva and Vineeth in key roles. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Sree Gokulam Movies, the film is set to bring Anushka’s captivating character to the big screen in a magical way.

With two major projects lined up, Anushka Shetty’s fans are eagerly waiting to see her shine in diverse roles in both Ghaati and Kathanar.
