CTET Answer Key 2024 Released: CBSE Announces Provisional Key for December Session
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the answer key for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 session today. Along with the provisional answer key, the candidates’ response sheets have also been made available. The board has granted candidates the opportunity to raise objections against the answer key. CTET Exam Overview
The CTET is conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates to teach classes I to VIII in schools across India. The exam for the December session was conducted on December 14, 2024, in two separate shifts. Paper 2 was held in the first shift from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, while Paper 1 was conducted in the second shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for both papers of the CTET are as follows:
- Paper 1: Candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 50% in 12th standard along with a Diploma in Education (D. Ed.) or Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.).
- Paper 2: Candidates must have completed their Graduation along with a Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree.
CTET Passing Criteria
To pass the CTET exam, candidates belonging to the general category must score a minimum of 60% overall. For candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the minimum required score is 55%.
