Adar Poonawalla has acquired a 50% stake in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment for ₹1,000 crore. Poonawalla’s Serene Entertainment will partner with Karan, who retains 50% ownership and continues as Executive Chairman. Both leaders aim to elevate Dharma’s legacy, exploring new creative avenues in cinema and global content. Founded in 1976, Dharma has produced iconic films and web series.
