Mahesh Babu Shares Delightful Experience of Dubbing for ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’
New Delhi [India], December 19 – Indian superstar Mahesh Babu is stepping into the world of animated films, lending his voice to the iconic character Mufasa in the Telugu version of Mufasa: The Lion King. Directed by Barry Jenkins, the highly anticipated film is set to release on December 20, 2024, and will tell the origin story of the beloved lion king, Mufasa.
For Mahesh Babu, voicing Mufasa has been an extremely personal and fulfilling experience. The actor took to social media to express his enthusiasm, saying, “Voicing Mufasa has been an incredible experience that I’ll always hold close to my heart. I hope you experience the same joy watching Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King as I did.”
This role marks a significant new chapter in Mahesh Babu’s career as it is his debut in voice acting for such a high-profile role. Alongside Babu, the Telugu version also features the famous comedian Brahmanandam, who voices Pumbaa, and actor Ali, who gives life to the playful Timon.
In the Hindi version of Mufasa: The Lion King, Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan voices Mufasa, while his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan take on the roles of Simba and young Mufasa, respectively. The collaboration of these well-known Indian stars in such iconic roles has raised excitement for the film’s release across the country.
