According to the Chief Minister’s Office, Gautam Adani unveiled a roadmap that includes a Rs 60,000 crore investment to expand the Adani Group’s power plants located in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh. This expansion aims to significantly boost the state’s power generation capacity by adding an additional 6,120 MW to Chhattisgarh’s grid.

In addition to the power sector, Adani also pledged Rs 5,000 crore for the development and expansion of the group’s cement plants within the state, further strengthening the state’s industrial base.

Furthermore, the Adani Group has committed Rs 10,000 crore in the next four years to support several initiatives in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, the Adani Foundation. This year’s ranking places APSEZ in the 97th percentile within its sector, an enhancement from the 96th percentile it attained in 2023, according to a company statement released on Wednesday.

Notably, for the second consecutive year, APSEZ clinched the top position in the “Environment” dimension of the CSA. The company also excelled in several key areas across the Social, Governance, and Economic dimensions. These included high scores in Transparency and Reporting, Materiality, Supply Chain Management, Information Security/Cybersecurity, System Availability, and Customer Relations.

Ashwini Gupta, the Whole-Time Director and CEO of APSEZ, emphasized the company’s commitment to responsible business practices. As of December 31, 2024, 60% of the 318 companies in the transport and transport infrastructure sector were assessed as part of the CSA 2024.
