Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently interacted with a diverse group of participants in the upcoming Republic Day parade, including NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers, Tribal Guests, and Tableaux Artists, at his residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. This informal yet impactful dialogue served as a platform for PM Modi to share his vision for a developed India—Viksit Bharat—while engaging in a candid exchange of ideas and experiences with the young and inspiring individuals.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of national unity, diversity, and the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (One India, Great India). He encouraged participants to engage with people from different states, fostering a deeper sense of unity and solidarity. PM Modi also touched on the theme of perseverance, urging the attendees to not fear failure but to learn from it. “Never be scared of failure. There should be a spirit to learn from failure; whoever learns from failure achieves success,” he remarked, reinforcing the value of resilience and determination.

When asked about his own sources of inspiration, the Prime Minister drew strength from the tireless work of India’s farmers and soldiers. He shared, “I see farmers and feel how hard they work. I see soldiers standing guard at the borders for hours and think I don’t deserve the right to rest.” This sentiment reflected PM Modi’s unwavering commitment to a disciplined and hardworking lifestyle, which he credits as a cornerstone of his productivity.

The discussion also highlighted the role of responsible citizenship in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat. PM Modi urged the youth to take an active role in nation-building, stressing the importance of contributing to platforms like the My Bharat Portal. He advocated for the cultivation of good habits, including discipline, punctuality, and maintaining a daily diary, all of which contribute to personal and national growth.

The Prime Minister highlighted several government initiatives, particularly those aimed at empowering women. He spoke about the creation of 3 crore Lakhpati Didis (wealthy women), showcasing how such schemes have transformed lives and contributed to economic development. One participant shared a heartfelt story about their mother, whose products gained international recognition thanks to these initiatives. PM Modi also pointed to the success of the Digital India campaign, noting how affordable data rates have revolutionized connectivity and made digital services more accessible to the masses.

In terms of national cleanliness, the Prime Minister reiterated the significance of collective action. “If 140 crore Indians commit to maintaining cleanliness, India will always remain Swachh (clean),” he declared. He also championed the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative, encouraging people to plant trees in honor of their mothers, further promoting environmental conservation.

The conversation concluded with a call to embrace physical well-being through the Fit India Movement, with PM Modi urging all participants to incorporate yoga and fitness routines into their daily lives for a healthier nation.

The event also saw foreign participants express their admiration for India’s warmth and hospitality, sharing their positive experiences from their visits to the country. This further reinforced the global appeal and significance of India’s rich culture and growing influence on the world stage.

Through this engaging interaction, Prime Minister Modi not only outlined his vision for a Viksit Bharat but also inspired the next generation to take responsibility for the country’s progress, fostering a collective commitment to the nation’s future.

New Delhi, January 11: India’s journey to becoming a developed country by 2047 hinges significantly on computing and technological development, according to Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology.

During an event at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) campus in Pashan, Pune, Vaishnaw launched several pioneering products developed by C-DAC. These included the VEGA-based System-on-Chip (SoC) ASIC and two DIR V VEGA processor-based development boards. The newly launched products were the ARIES ECO and ARIES NOVA development boards, along with THEJAS64, India’s first fully indigenous 64-bit SoC.

The ARIES ECO development board is designed with students in mind, offering a hands-on platform for experimenting with various applications such as sensor fusion, smart meters, and wearable devices. The ARIES NOVA, on the other hand, serves as an accessible platform for education, research, and development, particularly in the fast-evolving field of embedded systems. THEJAS64 is a cutting-edge, secure, and robust 64-bit indigenous SoC that is tailored for embedded applications.

These developments come as part of India’s Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) program, in which C-DAC has successfully engineered the VEGA series of microprocessors. This includes the country’s first indigenous 64-bit multi-core RISC-V-based Superscalar Out-of-Order Processor. The VEGA series encompasses 32/64-bit Single/Dual/Quad Core superscalar Out-of-Order high-performance processor cores that are based on the RISC-V Instruction Set Architecture (ISA). This open-source ISA promotes flexibility, fosters innovation, and supports hands-on learning and development in embedded systems.

During his visit, Vaishnaw also explored an exhibition organized by C-DAC and held a review meeting with C-DAC scientists and officers. Speaking at the event, Vaishnaw highlighted the importance of computing and technological advancements as fundamental elements for India’s development by 2047. He also emphasized C-DAC’s pivotal role in this transformation.

The Minister noted that substantial research is already taking place in the field of semiconductors and computing at esteemed academic institutions like IIT Madras, IISc Bengaluru, and IIT Gandhinagar. He added that the government aims to consolidate and harmonize these efforts to ensure a more unified and strategic approach in the future.

Vaishnaw pointed out that approximately 240 institutions across India now have access to advanced tools used for designing semiconductor chips. C-DAC acts as the fulcrum of this entire initiative, overseeing, enabling, and procuring licenses for these essential research tools. This collaboration has led to a significant shift for students, who previously only learned about semiconductors from textbooks. Now, they have access to advanced tools that allow them to test their ideas and develop new product concepts.

Furthermore, Vaishnaw mentioned that students working with semiconductor design tools are becoming well-equipped for the semiconductor industry. They are not only ready for employment in the field but are also gaining the skills and confidence to launch their own startups or even design their own computer chips.

The Minister also announced that C-DAC would introduce a competition for students trained in semiconductor design tools, connecting them with industry leaders. Additionally, C-DAC will begin offering certification courses to further develop the skill set of these budding professionals.

Through these initiatives, Vaishnaw emphasized the critical role of C-DAC and technological innovation in propelling India toward its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

New Delhi [India], November 28 : Union Minister Piyush Goyal has underscored India’s growing position as a global leader in emerging technologies, attributing this success to several key initiatives that have transformed the nation’s infrastructure and connectivity landscape. Speaking at a press conference in Delhi on Thursday, Goyal outlined how the launch of the Interconnected Grid, the Digital India campaign, and the availability of affordable data have played pivotal roles in positioning India as a top destination for global investment.

Goyal emphasized that these transformative measures have revolutionized connectivity across the country. “The launch of the Interconnected Grid and Digital India, along with affordable data reaching every corner of the country, and interactive connectivity reaching every household, have collectively made India the most attractive destination in the world for artificial intelligence, data centers, and Global Capability Centers (GCCs),” the minister stated.

The Union Minister highlighted India’s progress across various sectors, particularly in manufacturing and exports. According to Goyal, these sectors have gained significant momentum in recent years, aided by the establishment of an interconnected ecosystem that is enabling further growth. “India is emerging as a quality-conscious nation, and the establishment of a robust infrastructure is driving our prominence in these emerging sectors,” Goyal added.

Goyal also noted that India’s 5G network expansion is progressing at an impressive pace, ensuring nationwide coverage in the near future. This expansion will further enhance the nation’s connectivity and strengthen its digital ecosystem.

Another key area discussed by Goyal was India’s Interconnected Grid, which boasts a capacity of 450-500 gigawatts, making it one of the most powerful in the world. This, he explained, is a crucial component in enhancing the country’s energy infrastructure and supporting its growth as a technology hub.

In addition to domestic advancements, Goyal also addressed the increasing interest from international companies in India’s market. He revealed that several NASDAQ-listed companies are considering delisting from U.S. stock exchanges to list on Indian bourses. This shift reflects growing global confidence in India’s economic potential.

Regarding Tesla and Starlink’s plans in India, Goyal clarified that he is not directly involved in discussions with these companies. “To the best of my knowledge, there have been no discussions yet. The Ministry of Heavy Industries handles matters related to automobiles, while Starlink comes under the jurisdiction of the space department,” he said.

On the topic of India’s relationship with the United States, Goyal expressed optimism about the future of trade between the two countries, especially under the leadership of President Donald Trump. He highlighted the positive personal and professional rapport between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump, saying, “Our relationship with the United States has gotten better every single year, and Mr. Trump himself has often expressed his confidence in the India-U.S. partnership.”

Concluding his remarks, Goyal reaffirmed India’s continued commitment to establishing itself as a global leader in technology, innovation, and infrastructure. He emphasized that the country’s evolving capabilities make it an attractive destination for global business, paving the way for deeper international collaboration and economic growth.
