Graves, the short film has garnered significant attention following its Academy Award nomination, placing it among the contenders for the coveted Oscar alongside other notable films such as Alien, I’m Not a Robot, The Last Ranger, and A Man Who Would Not Remain Silent.

The narrative of Anuja focuses on a nine-year-old girl named Anuja, who works in a back-alley garment factory alongside her older sister, Palak. As the story unfolds, Anuja is faced with a life-changing decision that not only impacts her future but also her family’s well-being. The emotional and thought-provoking film shines a light on the struggles many children face around the world, forced to choose between dreams of a better future and the harsh realities of their present circumstances.

The film has already received widespread support from influential figures, including Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra and renowned producer Guneet Monga. The excitement around the film intensified when the makers revealed that the trailer of Sky Force would be dropping on Sunday. The official Instagram post stated, “This New Year, soar into the skies with #SkyForce – the untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike ever. Trailer out tomorrow. In cinemas on 24th January 2025.”

The first look of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya in the film has sparked a lot of enthusiasm among fans. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, Ghaati promises to present Anushka Shetty in an entirely new and intense avatar. The makers had earlier dropped a striking first-look poster in November, showcasing the actress smoking a pipe, exuding an intense aura. The poster came with the tagline “Victim, criminal, legend,” and the caption wishing Anushka Shetty a happy birthday, along with a teaser video set to release shortly thereafter.

This film marks the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish, following their successful partnership in the 2010 film Vedam.

Apart from Ghaati, Anushka Shetty is also gearing up for her Malayalam debut with Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer. Directed by Rojin Thomas, the film will see Anushka in the role of Nila, a weaver. The makers of Kathanar had released an intriguing teaser in November, showcasing Anushka’s character as a weaver amidst visuals of a weaving machine. The teaser, which was launched on Anushka’s birthday, was met with excitement as it marked the actress’s grand entry into Malayalam cinema.

Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer also stars Jayasurya Jayan in the lead role, along with Prabhu Deva and Vineeth in key roles. Produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner Sree Gokulam Movies, the film is set to bring Anushka’s captivating character to the big screen in a magical way.
