The MoU was signed by Abu Metha, Chairman of the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland, and Andrew Fleming, the British Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata, at the Chief Minister’s official residence on Saturday. The agreement was also witnessed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and British High Commissioner Linda Cameron.

The Chevening Scholarship, provided by the UK government, is designed to nurture individuals with exceptional leadership potential. This collaboration will offer full funding for a one-year master’s degree at any UK university, equipping scholars with advanced knowledge and skills in their chosen fields.

As part of the agreement, the Nagaland government will part-fund the reserved slots, enabling aspirants from the state to join Chevening’s global network of future leaders and change-makers.
