Additionally, the Ukrainian Embassy commemorated the 106th anniversary of the Act of Unification, which took place on January 22, 1919. This pivotal moment in Ukrainian history saw the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic unite, laying the foundation for a unified Ukrainian state. The Act, signed in St. Sophia Square in Kyiv, symbolized Ukraine’s long-standing aspiration for independence and unity, values that continue to drive the nation today.
