Uttar Pradesh to Showcase Tourism Potential at Madrid and Berlin International Fairs
Mahakumbhnagar (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 4: In an effort to position Uttar Pradesh as a leading global tourism destination, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is all set to highlight the state’s tourism offerings at two prestigious International Tourism Trade Fairs in Madrid, Spain, and Berlin, Germany, as per an official press release.
A key focus at these global events will be the Mahakumbh 2025, which will be presented as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The fair will emphasize the spiritual, historical, and cultural significance of this grand event, drawing attention to Uttar Pradesh’s rich legacy.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision for the state positions Mahakumbh 2025 not just as a religious event, but as a reflection of India’s deep cultural history. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has been diligently preparing to present the state’s offerings on the global stage, ensuring Uttar Pradesh gains maximum exposure during both international fairs.
These fairs will offer a unique opportunity to invite global audiences to experience the magnificence of Mahakumbh 2025, while also showcasing other significant tourism attractions of Uttar Pradesh. The state will highlight its diverse tourism offerings through grand thematic pavilions that will be set up at both fairs.
At the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, a 40-square-meter pavilion will be constructed, set to display the vibrant tourism attractions of Uttar Pradesh from January 24 to 28. Similarly, another 40-square-meter pavilion will be set up at the ITB Berlin Fair, taking place from March 4 to 6, 2025.
To enhance global engagement, VVIP lounges will be established at both fairs to facilitate B2B and B2C interactions. The tourism department will also provide promotional materials in multiple languages, including English and key European languages, ensuring a wide-reaching impact.
The outreach strategy goes beyond just promoting Uttar Pradesh as “Brand UP” — the land of Buddha and Sanatan faith. The fairs will also serve as a platform for discussions with key stakeholders from the tourism sector and potential investors. The aim is to attract foreign investment by highlighting the state’s favorable environment for business.
Furthermore, Uttar Pradesh’s spiritual and cultural heritage will be showcased alongside the promotion of the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, highlighting local crafts and traditional products from across the state.
This international initiative marks a significant step in bringing Uttar Pradesh’s tourism potential to the global forefront, ensuring the state receives the attention it deserves as a key player in India’s tourism industry.
